Notes are stored as text files in your Fred Notes folder. Reminders, calendar events, preferences, and interface settings are stored on your computer.
Storage scanning
Drive scans run locally. Fred reads file and folder metadata to show sizes, file types, large items, and duplicate matches. Fred does not upload scanned paths or file contents.
Diagnostics
Optional diagnostics contain fixed technical event names and timestamps. They do not contain note text, reminder text, file names, or scanned paths. Diagnostics remain on your computer unless you choose to export them.
Notifications and updates
Fred uses Windows notification permissions when you enable desktop alerts. Update checks contact the public Fred Releases repository to determine whether a signed update is available.
This website
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, user accounts, or marketing cookies. Download and social links take you to external services governed by their own privacy policies.
